Yosuke was an awkward boy in general. He was even more awkward at parties, especially the sort of parties where he didn't know anyone. And it turned out, the most awkward of all at parties in future dystopian wastelands where he didn't know anyone and couldn't even identify the food and beverage offerings or speak the local language without the help of some tablet device that folds up like fruit leather.

The thought made him chuckle to himself, probably not helping the awkward at all. What was there to do, though? So he didn't. He just stood to one side, wide-eyed and pale, trying to look cool instead of fairly freaked out. Maybe if he acted disinterested, people would assume he was the strong, solitary type.

It probably would have worked a bit better if his hadn't didn't shake when he reached for one of the drinks on the table. Ugh. Whatever, hopefully this wasn't something alcoholic. He tried to sniff it nonchalantly, but it smelled mostly of spices. It was impossible to tell. He'd just sip it slowly, and stop if it made him feel lightheaded. Cool guys never needed to chug their drinks anyway, right? Yeah. Right. Okay, cool.
