Re: [OPEN - Late evening of January 9th.]
The rain doesn't bother him either, but for different reasons. His heavy, dark blue cloak is waterproof and one of his wings works well enough to shield his head; said cloak is designed with a space in the back to keep his wings free.
He almost doesn't notice the human girl before he runs into her, and quickly steps to the side with a sheepish look.]
I apologize, ma'am. I wasn't watching where I was going.
[He's about to continue on his way when he sees her face and her state, and he pauses.]
Is everything alright?
[OPEN - Late evening of January 9th.]
Of course the idea of running into monsters she always took as figurative. Like people like Sylar, or Brody, or worse. She never really took it as literal.
So when she's bumped into, and she raises her gaze to look at the person who hit her to mutter out her own sincere apology, she freezes at the sight of him. Seeing people or creatures on the network is different from seeing them right in front of you, and for a moment there, her mouth hangs open in shock and forgotten words.
It feels rude. She doesn't mean it to be, but, just look at him. He's not exactly something she sees every day. Eventually she shakes her head.]

No, ma'am. I am a draconian. Are you sure you're alright? You must be freezing in this rain.
[He knows that humans tend to get sick under such conditions.]

Claire, standing at just above five feet, should probably be acting a little more scared than she is, but she isn't. She's fascinated, frankly. She ignores his concern.] What's a draconian?

We were created from dragons, hence the resemblance. My name is Kang, ma'am.

Claire. It's uh, nice to meet you.

[Lucky for her, handshakes are common with his kind, and he takes her hand with his own heavily scarred one, careful to keep his claws from her skin. His grip isn't very strong.]
What are you doing out so late at night?

[For him, it's not a lie.]
It doesn't sound weird at all. No war ever has battles happening constantly; I know that from experience.
