[Karkat was feeling a little down, considering the human romantic holiday and his lack of any plans whatsoever. Not particularly upset, but enough to stay in his room and watch movies on his husktop rather than going out or talking to anyone]

[Bitchsis and her presents. Bitchsis and her motherfucking present. Why would he want to be looking back at that? All of that was wrong and bad. Gamzee wanted...

He wanted a lot of motherfucking things, but most of them were blood and pain and color. Karkat wouldn't like that... Karkat would be there, right? He would, and wasn't this the human day for quadrants? Not that the motherfuckers had any.

With that on his mind, Gamzee went searching, stopping first at Karkat's room. He didn't knock and just tried to open the door to the apartment and slip inside. If it wasn't locked he'd slip right on in, silent as a ghost. And if it was, well he could still pound on the door until Karkat heard him.]

[Let's say unlocked. Gamzee can slip in; Karkat will be sitting on his bed deeply engrossed in a romcom, chin in hands and looking grumpy. He won't notice Gamzee slip in.]

[honkalypse]

[He stands there awkwardly, watching Karkat watch the movie for a few moments. Maybe this was a bad idea. What the motherfuck should he even do? How the hell did pale even work?

But the urge overwhelms and he shuffles closer. One quiet, shuffled step. Two. Finally he was close enough to sink down on the bed next to Karkat. Well, flop is more like it.]

Hey, best friend...

[Looking sort of startled! He honestly hadn't noticed Gamzee until he was right there next to the bed. But he'll immediately press pause on his movie.]

Have you ever heard of knocking?

[There's no bite in his words, though, he doesn't seem bothered that Gamzee is there at all.]

[honkalypse]

Door was being open.

[He shrugs and curls around to peek at what Karkat was watching. It leaves him half-curved around Karkat too, and he likes that.]

What were you getting your gander on at?

Just one of my movies. I don't need to watch it.

[honkalypse]

If you want to get down with your viewing, not going to be going stop at you, bro.

[He's not sure he can talk--jam--about why he's here, but maybe watching a movie with Karkat will help the same way.]

I might not get understanding on of all what happens, but it feels me full up with good feelings when you explain at me.

Yeah, okay.

[He'll make some more room for Gamzee to fit on the bed next to him, and adjust the placement of his husktop so they can both see.]

So, the plot of this one is, these two both already have matesprits, but they just happen to meet when they're on planetary leave on Serendipity 3, and are drawn to each other. Now, she's a big believer that relationships need to be guided by serendipity, so even though they're having a good time and enjoying each other's company, she doesn't want to try to get together unless they're meant to. So she's put her call sign in a book and he's put his on some currency but they don't give it to each other, they go their separate ways.

But now it's a sweep later, and they both still want to find each other, but the drones are coming soon and they both still already have a matesprit. So the plot is, are they going to give up on finding each other and stay with the person they have? But if it's meant to be, she thinks they'll still find each other.

[honkalypse]

[Gamzee plops himself into the space, and does his best to listen intently, though it's possible to tell when he loses the thread of the story because his eyes start crossing a little.

Still, he's putting effort into understanding, and when Karkat's done explaining, he grins.]

Well let's get this movie up and running, best friend.
