Date & Time: Backdated to February 22nd, late afternoonish?
Location: Walking around who knows!
Characters: Kido and Hilbert
Summary: Kano and Hilbert made a bet to take Kido on a date. Hilbert won and Kido ended up agreeing after punching everyone involved. No, she has no idea why she agreed.
Warnings: Possibly no punching!




The worst thing about her outfit is that it doesn't lend well to keeping her earbuds in. It would be too obvious. So, her iPod remains tucked away in the pocket of her sweater. As promised, she dressed up for the occasion and even let Kano do it. The result is surprisingly nice - a ruffled skirt down to just above her knees, some tights and a dressy sweater - but so different than what she's used to wearing. She even messed with her hair, sticking it up in a messy bun that suits her. While waiting, she keeps playing with a few strands falling around her face.

She figured it would be better to wait for Hilbert outside. For one, if Kano teased her while seeing her off, she would probably punch him and Hilbert and just give up on the whole thing. For two, well... that was her best reason so it counted for two reasons.

But she doesn't know what else to do except stand there and occasionally smooth out her skirt, check her sweater, play with her hair, and otherwise try to fix her appearance.

Hilbert doesn't usually dress up on any of his dates, which he's had three or four of so far, and this time isn't an exception. He's still got his usual jacket and jean attire but he's notably missing out on his hat. He gives a low whistle as he approaches, grinning as he checks Kido out.

"You are cute without the hoodie. Tights look nice on you too, Leader, but you could've pulled off a shorter skirt!" Hilbert's asking to be hit with the teases he's putting out, but he's hoping not to be. Her hair looks nice too, but that's a thought to himself. She looks good. Like a girl. "Kano did a nice job."

"Oi!" Kido reaches down and smooths out her skirt again. The worst part is she did think about a shorter one but felt too embarrassed. At least she can call this a success of sorts if she looks that nice.

"I'm not going to hit you because it's a date but I'm going to remember it if you tease me too much." Threat out of the way, though, she tries to just take a deep breath and go through with this. "So... anyway, what now?"

Hilbert'll definitely remember that. Tease her, but not too much. "Well, I found an okay place that serves a lot of stuff from around the world, so it's not really what I'm used to... But I figured why not."

Please, teach him how to use chopsticks. He will be grateful. But that's later, and he motions to his jacket pocket where Eek's ball is bulging slightly.

"But first, would you like to meet my Pokémon? He's pretty eager to meet you."

Kido can definitely teach him chopsticks later. Right now, she almost perks up with interest.

"Oh yeah. I was looking forward to that." Her earlier embarrassment fades with the new topic. "So, he's in that ball thing...?"
