Date & Time: backdated to around 01/19 ....
Location: outside, near the Hold
Characters: ctsv (
scour), Jack Frost (
frorn)
Summary: talking to moons and stuff
Warnings: n/a
[ He's not really expecting any more snow, but ctsv decides to bundle up some more for this excursion anyway -- just in case. So when night falls, ctsv shows up outside with a little makeshift cloak wrapped around his shoulders, complete with hood and all. Probably made by ripping up someone's bedsheet.
As he doesn't see Jack anywhere yet, ctsv decides to find higher ground. But it's a long climb up from the ground to the stair ledge, and he's probably only scaled about 3/4ths of the way up when Jack does arrive. ]

At the very least cstv would be with him and Jack was very glad for that. If anything, he'd get to spend some time with a new friend. A new friend that takes a bit of time to spot, but when he sees ctsv on the stairs, he lands in front of him in a crouch. ]
Hey, little guy. You ready?
no subject
Yes. Lift me up. I want to ride on your shoulder again.
[ DEMANDING. ]
no subject
Sure thing. [ He'll offer ctsv his hand to climb on before raising it to his shoulder. ]
So, have you ever flown before?
no subject
No. But I want to!
[ okay, he sounded a little more excited than he'd meant to, there. ]
no subject
Well then, hold on tight. Off we go!
[ Jack leaps into the air and a strong gust of wind propels him forward so he's flying straight up in a matter of seconds, regardless whether or not ctsv is holding on tight since the hood makes it a moot point. ]

But curiosity eventually overpowers all. He sticks his head out, slow and careful. ]
Where are we going? [ ctsv has to shout to make himself heard. ]
no subject
Above the clouds! [ As if on cue, they get to them and he dives through them. Once he breaks through, he finally stops so they're floating above the clouds. From there the night sky is clearly visible without the clouds obscuring it, along with the moon. ]
no subject
He can't help but look down, too. There's a little trepidation as he does so. ]
Wow.... [ said in a quiet breath, before he looks back to Jack. ] How long can you stay up here like this?
no subject
ctsv's voice snaps him out of his thoughts and he glances over to the little man on his shoulder. ]
Hm? As long as I want. The wind is supporting us, it won't let us fall. Don't worry.

Hello? Are you there? We came looking for you!

Hey Manny, speak up!
no subject
Manny? [ ctsv repeats that a few more times, testing it out. Then he shouts it. ] Manny!
[ He claps both hands over his mouth after that. Manny. Gosh. What an unfortunate-sounding nickname!! ]

ctsv's giggling help make Jack a lot less tense. He actually finds himself grinning and calling out the nickname a few more times. It makes the blow of disappointment a bit softer when they don't seem to get any response.
He looks over to ctsv, still grinning and slightly breathless when he speaks. ] I wonder if he can't speak back and that's why he never said anything.

That would be awful. If I couldn't talk, no one would ever pay any attention to me.
