Summary: Loki places illusions around the island to trick people into believing the United Earth is attacking.
Warnings: Possible violence/language.

Loki sat in his throne, gazing into the green orb levitating in the air before him. In it he watched his chaos start to unfurl. That....machine... the one people called the AI, was even now giving a warning. He enjoyed imagining that its tone would be panicked had it a voice.

"The Initiative is a legion of fools," he laughed to himself. "Stealing away Gods who have no desire to fight for them. They are in no position to fight a war... But if they refuse to acknowledge this perhaps they require proof and Loki shall provide." There was nobody else in the room to hear his words, he was content to talk aloud to himself.

With a wave of his hand another golem disguised as a UE soldier rose from the earth outside his castle and started making its way south through the mountains....

Zelos "Kaneis" Wilder & Sheena Fujibayashi | Open!

[Zelos really wasn't interested in sitting around the Hold during an attack. It seemed absurd for someone capable like him to keep out of harm's way when others were in danger- and honestly letting other people risk their lives for his sake always made him a bit ill]

[Sheena had caught him on the way out over the tablet, telling him that she's coming with. While his feelings were a bit mixed on that, there was no denying she was a good person to have along in a crisis]

[And so they can both be found in the northern section of the city, helping out with getting survivors and occasionally fighting UE guys. At this current span of time, there's a bit of a break as Zelos tries to check the information that Ai set up]

[....He probably should've asked how to read these sorts of maps before he left]

Uh...do you know what street corner we're on?

[fujibayashi]

[Sheena gives him an incredulous look.] Here, give it to me. [She basically pulls it out of his hands the moment it's offered.]

We're right here. [She points to one of the intersections on the map.] You don't pay attention to anything important, do you?

[wilder]

[He'll let her do that, looking at the spot she points at]

Whaaat? I was too busy dealing with those UE guys to focus on street names!

[fujibayashi]

You've been living here longer than me. You should at least know your way around by now!

[wilder]

Are you kidding? Everything looks the same! Either dreary or in ruins!

[fujibayashi]

Stop whining. I can't look for enemies with your obnoxious voice in my ear.

[wilder]

[He'll make an annoyed whine noise but just try to look over her shoulder at the map]

[ You can hardly expect the Chosen of Regeneration to sit idly by while people are in danger, can you?

Of course not. At first word of the attack, Colette took to the streets--or rather, to the air. She's been embroiled in the thick of things ever since.

A scream draws her attention down an alley to a child, trapped by a soldier bearing down on her. Colette wastes no time dispatching with a well-aimed toss of her rings. When the soldier falls, Colette approaches the young girl with a gentle smile, kneeling before her and offering a comforting hand. ]

There, there. It's alright now, you're safe.

[fujibayashi]

Hey, is that--?

[Sheena drops what she's doing and goes to follow the flash of pink and white.

By the time she gets there, the soldier is already taken care of. That's all right. She greets Colette with a wave.]

Colette! You're okay!

[She glances over her shoulder to see if Zelos followed. Probably not.]

[wilder]

[Sadly he doesn't have enough courage points for that. He can hear clear as day who is it, and he'll opt to wait around the corner for them, leaning against a wall while keeping an eye out for troops coming from this direction ]

[But hey, at least he's in hearing range. ]

[ She goes to stand, but the little girl grabs onto her sleeve and holds tight. Instead Colette offers Sheena an awkward smile. ]

I'm okay. Are you okay?

[fujibayashi]

Yeah, I'm fine!

[She frowns uncertainly after a moment.]

Zelos is out here fighting, too. I know it's awkward, but we should probably stick together...

[wilder]

[.....You are so never allowed to be party leader again Sheena. Gawd.]

[But yes still standing around dat corner]

[Tori's been holding up pretty well against any UE guys she comes across. As much as she doesn't like to be here, she couldn't just sit around and do nothing. People native to this city, to this world... they didn't do anything wrong. At the very least, she'd do her best to help them. As she's doing that, she comes across two familiar faces--ones that she's surprised to see with each other.]

Kaneis! Sheena!

[Sheena looks up.]

Tori? [Tori is actually a decent fighter, so she's not too surprised to see her around.] Oh, I didn't know you were acquainted with him. He hasn't been giving you a hard time, has he? What about the UE?

[wilder]

[Oh hey that's someone he knows and-...hopefully this doesn't end badly!]

Oh, hey Tori.

[Glancing over at Sheena]

Heeeey, how come I get asked about before the invading army?

Kaneis? Giving me a hard time? No way! He's been pretty awesome, actually. Always willing to heal up my stupid injuries and everything at the clinic. I even bought him something as a "thank you" present--I know I can be a handful. [She grins.] But yeah~ asking about him before the UE is pretty harsh, don't you think?

[A quiet sigh.]

Speaking of, I haven't had too much trouble... which is good, since I'm out here of my own free will. I don't think our enemies are too worried about their casualties, so I want to help as many people native to here as possible. Especially any kids. [Tori thinks it's bad enough that they have to grow up in an environment like this to begin with.]

[fujibayashi]

[She ignores her redheaded companion pointedly.] Hey, he's a notorious peeper who knows one of my female friends. I have every right to ask!

[Sheena's expression softens a bit.] They don't seem to be as collected as they were during that AI mission. I don't know if they're here to attack or find something or what. But you're right-- the kids come first.

[wilder]

I couldn't help that I was curious to the unknown, Sheena!

[But oh right mission at hand, he's not going to bother echoing the statement about saving people since it's pretty obvious to him]

And yeah...Something seems pretty off about them, alright. Though I can't put my finger on it. [Or rather, he noticed something but doesn't want to reveal around Tori] Either way, we should probably check buildings for any possible people still around.

These streets actually have names?

[Sup, co-redhead. Don't mind Asch jumping off the top of some rubble that gave him a better vantage point. He straightens himself a little before heading over to them, very obviously on his guard and periodically glancing around for any soldiers. The odd-looking bade he carries is at his hip for the moment. He looks Sheena over a bit before saying anything.]

Had any trouble?

[HOLY JESUS CHRIST NINJA REDHEAD. Sheena steps back, not expecting Asch to come leaping the fuck out of nowhere. He looks capable though, even if the red hair catches her off guard too.]

No, we haven't had much difficulty. What about you?

[wilder]

[He'll look up seeming a bit surprised too- but not as much since hey redhead radar!!]

Asch, right?

And I think...some..might.

[A bit of a nod, followed by inclining his head at the other redhead.]

Kaneis. And your friend?

[Hey look, Sheena, someone got given the fake name.]

The intruders seem to be mostly sticking to the more major streets. I've found a few in alleyways, but none inside the buildings yet.

Sheena Fujibayashi, at your service. [She doesn't dispute the 'friend' thing just to embarrass 'Kaneis' a bit. At least until he starts hitting on her or something.]

Then whatever they're after, it's probably out here. Like us.

[HAVE THE SCRIBBLES OF ANNOYANCE. Or at least, tsun expression] We know each other, yeah.
