IT'S PARTY TIME!
Date & Time: May 29, afternoon and evening.
Location: The Hold training rooms.
Characters: All the cool people.
Summary: It's a goddamn birthday party!
Warnings: ....It's... Tony's. Goddamn birthday party. So.
[ Welcome to the training rooms. Welcome to the party.
Everywhere's done up in no-doubt tasteful and not at all garish or, should I say, ostentatious, reds and golds and shit. Birthday type stuff. Amazing, birthday type stuff, surely, because the decorators Pepper hired are top notch.
And that music? Damn, son.
There's food too, by Exsilium's finest caterers. And the lights are moving and the bodies are writhing and dancing and somewhere Tony's avoiding Pepper in the middle of it because she's irritated with him and he's more interested in talking to people who aren't annoyed with him. ]
Hey! I'd like to say a thing. [ Yeah, he's totally not drunk, or at least on his way to it. ] A think about how... Awesome, it is, that you all showed up to my birthday party, seriously, this is great. And Pepper. Pepper, my Pepper, made this whole thing, so make you you lavish her with compliments and make her feel uncomfortable for how good a job she did. And have fun! Keep having fun, go for it. You need anything, we get low on something, somebody let me know. I'm going back to, you know, actually enjoying my party. Have fun! [ And he's disappearing back into the midst of the party. Everybody have fun! ]

DJ Pinkman up in the booth y'all | OPEN
He's lucky to be kept busy. He wouldn't want to miss a party like this, but it'd be hard to stay sober if he was out in the crowd. Here, with the headphones and the turntable, he's enjoying himself and staying out of trouble, fueled by coffee and cigarettes alone.]

And then he feels creepy, so he lightly slaps the back of Jesse's head and fixes his expression into a perfect old-man scowl.
YOUR MUSIC'S TOO LOUD, SONNY.]

That slap, however, is returned with a flip of his middle finger. Shut up.
...He has to work hard to suppress a grin.]

Look at all that not-blood.]

[Look at his hand hovering threateningly over the volume panel.]

Don't you dare. You're probably freaking the hell out of anyone not from our time, you know that?

I didn't know you could do this stuff!
( Does she have to yell to be heard over the music? Because she will. )
no subject
Ah, yeah. Used to do this full-time.

( That's pretty cool. ) Why'd you stop?
( Hang on, she is just piling some of the food she has on this here tray onto a plate and popping it on Jesse's dj kingdom. Food thyself. )
no subject
Other, uh, opportunities. You know, music don't pay so good.

( She has gotten an earful about being an old lady, she's gotta say. With a bit of a grin, she has to ask, ) Don't suppose there's any Cyndi Lauper or Alanna Myles on the cards, is there?

You, um, doing it manually? Most of my set's 130 to 150 BPM, so if you can get the LEDs to match that and throw in some strobes and lasers, we can wing it.

Glancing at her beer, she pauses before chugging the rest of it down. She misjudges just how much was left and spills the last remaining drops on her chin and the floor as she tries not to gag.
Once she's cleaned herself up, she places the bottle down on the first flat surface she can find. Lisbeth then turns around and walks up, tapping Jesse on his shoulder when she gets there.]

bitch please, these beats are sweet
Right now he's not on the dancefloor, because he's - like I said - found his way towards Jesse. He comes up to the booth, alongside the younger man as he works, sets a glass of something special down - is it alcoholic, does Tony know, or think that would be a bad idea? Up to you. Maybe it's forty year old scotch he stole off the ship on the recent mission, maybe it's just a really nice mix of crangrape and a little oj for flavor, some ginger ale to bring it to life. But either way, it's a sign of appreciation. There'll be others later, but in the immediate, he doesn't want to disrupt the work, simply observe it for a few seconds, watching Jesse's hands as he mentally watches the lines send and relays come back and music go out. It's fascinating, and if it weren't for - you know - all the other people here, he'd probably stay here a while longer than it looks like he's intending to. Although he's lingered longer than it looked like he was going to. ]
♥
Unfortunately, he can't quite turn away from his work yet, hands scrambling back to the panels.]
