IT'S PARTY TIME!
Date & Time: May 29, afternoon and evening.
Location: The Hold training rooms.
Characters: All the cool people.
Summary: It's a goddamn birthday party!
Warnings: ....It's... Tony's. Goddamn birthday party. So.
[ Welcome to the training rooms. Welcome to the party.
Everywhere's done up in no-doubt tasteful and not at all garish or, should I say, ostentatious, reds and golds and shit. Birthday type stuff. Amazing, birthday type stuff, surely, because the decorators Pepper hired are top notch.
And that music? Damn, son.
There's food too, by Exsilium's finest caterers. And the lights are moving and the bodies are writhing and dancing and somewhere Tony's avoiding Pepper in the middle of it because she's irritated with him and he's more interested in talking to people who aren't annoyed with him. ]
Hey! I'd like to say a thing. [ Yeah, he's totally not drunk, or at least on his way to it. ] A think about how... Awesome, it is, that you all showed up to my birthday party, seriously, this is great. And Pepper. Pepper, my Pepper, made this whole thing, so make you you lavish her with compliments and make her feel uncomfortable for how good a job she did. And have fun! Keep having fun, go for it. You need anything, we get low on something, somebody let me know. I'm going back to, you know, actually enjoying my party. Have fun! [ And he's disappearing back into the midst of the party. Everybody have fun! ]

either way, it's glowing faintly, his tablet's out on the table beside him, and small tools are involved.
just because Artie came to the party doesn't mean he's going to behave like a social butterfly. it was mostly so he wouldn't sit in his room and Overthink Things]

But this works well enough. Tony eventually makes his way over, peering over the guy's shoulder at the screen. ] What is that?

Something from home. I was trying to see if there was a way I could make it work, here...
[honestly, now that Tony's close enough to get a good look, it looks pretty old. pretty steampunk, even]

What's it run on? Brainpower? Hope? [ Looks sort of... pathetic. Who knows. ]

That's why I was hoping I could convert my tablet. If I can pull it off, the UE won't be able to hijack any of my transmissions.

[scrubbing a hand over his face, he glances down at the Farnsworth]
Maybe it's better to leave it as is for now, then. One of my associates is here - we can still use it for private communication, and if we can get the resources for her to make more ... it could be a team tool.

I mean, not to dissuade you or anything. If I potentially had an unhackable device I'd go all out for it.
