OPEN - let's go to the movies!

Date & Time: Saturday evening, August 10th for moviegoers, August 6 - 9 for the clean-up crew
Location: Exsilium's movie theatre
Characters: open to all!
Summary: Jaime procured a copy of E.T., and now Exsilium is having their own movie night. Prior to that, some kind souls agreed to help clean up the leftover wreckage from the bombings.

For all the complaints that could be made of Exsilium - the constant danger, the Missions, and the Exiles to name a few - the lack of good entertainment was a very small one. Still, having a movie theatre conveniently around suddenly seemed like a wonderful luxury to have, even if they had to do a good amount of cleaning to do beforehand.

With luck, this little endeavor would be a success (hopefully with the blessing and cooperation with those who the theatre actually belonged to) and repeat screenings could be held.

[Being another volunteer, Sango's been in and out of the theater, occasionally accompanied by a lion-sized two-tailed cat with fangs the size of a forearm... who happily drags away as much debris as she can while Sango sweeps.

There's a cobweb in the corner of the ceiling, however, that Sango is just an inch or two too short to be able to bat at with her broom. She could probably get Kirara to jump up and swat at it, but the giant cat is busy lugging the remnants of a soda machine away. So she finds Rudy, instead.]

Excuse me, but do you think you could get that for me?

[She gestures to the big, nasty spiderweb with her broom.]

[thearseman]

[Being as tall and lanky as he is, Rudy has no problem getting rid of it with his own broom. He's rather grateful for the current absence of her giant cat thing, though he does glance around for it briefly before getting the web for her. Just in case. You never know when a cat that size might jump out of nowhere and attack.]

There we are. That'll save you finding a chair to stand on.

[He then spares a glance at his broom, and realise just how big that web was. He gives it a look of disgust and shakes it off onto the floor.]

How big d'you reckon that spider was? It looks like it was taking up half the ceiling.

so apparently these two are now roommates! :U

[Sango makes to sweep the sticky remnants of the web into the pile of dust bunnies and debris she's been collecting. Kirara is still at large.

At his question, she wrinkles her nose.]

Not unless it's some sort of monster-demon spider... which, at this point, I would not be very surprised to see.

Ohhh, hello roomie! I'm glad you spotted that. I didn't realise he was out of temp.

I hope not. I never agreed to monster-demon spiders when I said I'd help out today. I don't think even E.T.'s worth that much trouble.

Yep, they're with Joel. I'm trying to add Joel-mun on plurk so that we can do some roomie plotting!

[Sango gives a faint smile.]

Oh, they're not so bad. You just have to cut off the heads and they're done for.

[...never mind that the last time she fought a giant spider it ended up being the worst experience of her life. Shh.]

Easier said that done, I reckon. It's starting to sound like I should've picked a sword...

[Instead of a hammer he can barely even carry.]

We have bad timing lol, apparently they just went on hiatus...
