Summary: Saori and Margulis are now minus one Lee Chaolan and there's a much needed talk between friends.
Warnings: PG for possible language and feels getting smashed into bits. Will be changed when appropriate
Sunday is the one day the Uji tea house is closed. This meant Saori stayed in the apartment. Both her and Margulis's biggest fear had been confirmed a few days ago. Lee Chaolan, was no longer in Exsilium. The apartment didn't feel the same without him. Even Mana the cat tried to seek comfort for his absence by sleeping in places where Lee's scent was the strongest.
The apartment is too quiet for her. Margulis took the loss of his boyfriend hard was an understatement. She gave Margulis some space to himself but it was becoming clear a talk was needed. In their year of becoming friends back in Prospero and now here in Exsilium, she had never seen Margulis like this. The big question was how to approach this.
While she was preparing lunch of her usual spicy curry, she looked over her shoulder to where Margulis sat.
"Hey, Margulis...?"

He lowered the book at the sound of his name, looking over with a frown.
"What?"
It came out more terse than he meant, but he doubted Saori would take it personally. She'd known him for over a year now, it was impossible for her not to have learned that he didn't always mean it when he snapped.

"Well," she started but then sighed. She wouldn't let her nervousness stop her. "It's already been a few days and you've barely spoken or left the apartment. I'm just really worried for you, Margulis. And I want you to know I do understand what you're going through so if you want to talk...." Her voice trailed off, just waiting for his reaction.

"I let myself get closer to Chaolan than anyone else thus far."

"The fact you always call him by his first name speaks volumes of that." She never found the fact he always addressed her by her family name by any means insulting.
"When I say I know what you're going through, I mean it. Back in Prospero, this was when I was still human, just fresh from dying, I did have a boyfriend. Everything was fine and then, he just disappeared when I woke up one day." Even just digging up that old memory still brought a pang of pain. She had to lean back and stared at the ceiling to help regain her composure.
