[CLOSED] We'll always have paris
Date & Time: October 26th - 27th, 2013
Location: Paris, France.
Characters: Charlie Dyer and Tempest
Summary: Charlie and Tempest go to the past to buy menial stuff, see the sighs and talk. This is not a date okay
Warnings: Posible conversations about depression, self harm, abuse, etc. Your typical emotional Charlie warnings.
Charlie wasn't sure she would ever get used to time traveling, but at least this one time she was doing so because she wanted and with someone else other than her siblings, so it felt relatively better. A lot better, actually. Paris was beautiful in Autumn, too, which helped. The proper precautions had been taken to ensure they didn't materialize in the middle of a big crowd, and soon enough both women had made their way to some cheap yet cozy hotel where they would stay for the next two days. There was much to do, but Charlie was certain they would be able to get it all done and have some time to look around.
Once settled, it was time to get a move on.

October 26;; Exploring a mall
handwavedmoderately illegal means (she tried to keep pick pocketing to a minimum) they were ready to hit the malls for the first part of what they wanted.Leisure oriented stuff, mostly. They entered a pretty big mall and decided to separate.
And now, Charlie is standing in front a big newsstand, looking at the magazines, wondering which one would Tempest like best. ]

And now she's staring down the hallway of shops like she's never seen anything like it before. And - well, she hasn't. If she squinted just enough she could pretend it looked like the rows of shops in her capital. A lot of squinting.
She finally drags her eyes away to look at the newsstand, eyeing the various magazines with what can only be wonder and confusion]
hahaha so late
Magazines.
[ Charlie waves a hand at the stand, grabs one and passes it over to Tempest. It's a Rolling Stone one, all colorful artists and smooth cover. ]
A-anything else you wan-want to know about?
it's okay <33
She shows Charlie the page with a look that can only be described as horrified]
Do women in this era really dress like this?
not it's not q.q
Not really. But m-more and more recently, I'm af-afraid.
yes it is <3333333
[she flips through the rest of the magazine, stopping here and there to read an article title or two] This is a magazine dedicated to music?
okay >///>
[ She pics another one. Reader's Digest? Alright. ]
This one...is a bi-bit more varied. More like li-life stories.

October 26;; Looking for plants/seeds
There's stuff to look around though, from the big windows with fancy clothing to all the pretty people walking around, not to mention the beautiful buildings. Even the sky is kind of gorgeous. ]

She could mention that she could feel out whatever plants are in this area, but that isn't really fun. And she's enjoying herself, oddly enough. It's . . . nice. She didn't think missions were supposed to be nice, but here she is, with someone she would consider a friend, in a huge city where she doesn't have to pretend about any of it.
Yeah, it's definitely nice]
Are there always so many people here?
no subject
Plus Tempest makes for a great mission companion. ]
Yeah? It's a c-city, after all.
[ She softly pokes her ribs with her elbow. ]
Surprised?
no subject
A bit. I had expected a lot of people, but not quite this many.
no subject
[ Maybe if Charlie shows interest for Tempest's world then she would ask her more about this one. ]

October 27;; Exploring the city for random stuff to buy
So they're now roaming the streets, looking for things to do. Charlie is letting Tempest guide then, a smile ever present in her face as they walk. ]

[ Not that she's in a hurry, but Charlie looks around, trying to figure just where is Tempest trying to go. ]

Not that she's ever going to tell her that out loud. ]
S-sure, there's plenty of green there. Hey h-how do you f-feel plants? I've been meaning to a-ask.
no subject
I just . . . do? [she frowns a little, trying to figure out a way to explain it] It is like . . . how I hear, or how I see - I can just sense them. [she purses her lips a little] I cannot tell them apart, though. I have never been able to. Probably because I am not fully Elven.

October 27;; Romantic evening (??)
But seriously, it's not romantic at all.
Right Temp? ]
REPLYING TO THE REST BECAUSE ........ yeah this is the thread everyone's waiting for
Tempest glances down at her glass of wine and frowns a little, because that convincing? Not working. She's a little clueless about some things, but this? No, she knows this very well. She can't remember the number of times Maias or some other man has tried to wine and dine her]
what don't tell me someone is actually reading this omg
- Paris is pretty at night.
- Temp should have good memories.
- The wine is surprisingly cheaper and still good.
- That's basically the only music in French she can stand.
So she has no idea there might be some romantic undertone going on. At least she didn't lit a hundred candles or something, right?
Still, she's standing by the window, holding her own glass in silence. The ambient feels oddly charged but she hasn't figured out why just yet. ]
~*you never know*~
aaaaaaaah
And awkward. It's also awfully awkward. Charlie starts to wonder if it's wrong of her to enjoy being around Tempest so much. Is she being selfish? Dragging her all the way here, making her put up with her, talking about their lives. Surely Tempest has better things to do, right?
She tries to calm her thoughts with wine, but other than the taste lingering in her mouth she doesn't manage to do much.
Her eyes drift from the beautiful scenery to Tempest a couple of times, and it doesn't bother her. If only she knew what to say in situations like this. ]

I do not think I will ever get used to seeing so many lights.
[it's just an observation, really, but the quiet was starting to get to her a little]
