Missing in Action
Who: Lucy Heartfilia and OPEN
What: One (1) Dragon Slayer is M.I.A. One (1) Celestial Wizard is unhappy and searching.
When: 11/17/13
Where: Everywhere~
Warnings: Sad Wizards Being Sad :(
It was strange when she woke up and Natsu wasn't there. She almost expected him to always be there, or at the very least, nearby. She promised him only a few days before that she would stay close to him. She trusted him to keep her safe, and she was happiest at his side. He was her very most important and dearest friend.
He wasn't always in her room, though of late she woke up and found him in her bed more frequently. She'd gotten use to the warmth he gave off - but when she woke up that day her bed was emptier, cooler. He wasn't anywhere in the shared apartments they had, but she didn't really get worried until an hour passed with no sign of him.
So she went looking for him. Despite what was going on with the mutiny, and being unable to use the network, it was the only option she had. Erza had suggested they all split up to look for him - maybe one of them could find him in a place Lucy hadn't checked, or maybe she just missed him. If nothing else, more people searching should find him more quickly.
As for Lucy, she checked the clinic frequently, praying she wouldn't find him there, and more relieved when she didn't. Then weary, then frantic. She would be unhappy if she lost Juvia, or Erza again but Natsu... for him not to be here, she'd be... heartbroken. He couldn't be gone. He promised. And she knew going back home wasn't something they could control but ...
By afternoon her heart was heavy, calling out her friend's name until her voice was raw, part of her knowing she wouldn't find him, but still hoping she would. She wanted to cry. Wanted to, but wouldn't - not until she returned to her room and could cry in private. Instead she was knocking on every door she came to in search of the salmon haired Dragon Slayer to come up empty, and each time her heart breaking a little more. "Natsu~!"

Instead she was knocking on every door she came to in search of the salmon haired Dragon Slayer to come up empty, and each time her heart breaking a little more. "Natsu~!"
no subject
Her expression, however, soon wiped it away for a more concerned look.
"Hey there, Lucy. Why the sad face?"
no subject
So when Heath opened the door, Lucy did her best to smile, failing miserably. "Heath... have you seen Natsu?" She'd been with her best friend for almost a year in this place, and even back home they were always together. It was hard to believe that he'd be gone now, when she thought they would always be together. Her, Natsu, Erza and everyone.
no subject
"No, I haven't." a pause, then an offered smile. "Want me to help you look?"
no subject
She really hoped between the them and the rest of the guild they'd find the Dragon Slayer... and hopefully he wasn't hurt. That was really her main concern. Him being away because of ANY other reason fine - she'd scold him later. But if he was hurt...
no subject
"Okay then!" he smiled, stepping out into the hall. "Let's see if we can find him and turn that frown upside down. Your smile is way to pretty to waste on looking sad."
no subject
"Erza and the others ... they're looking for him too, right now. They said it would be easier if we all split up, and find him that way." She glanced around, "I'm not sure where else to look though."
no subject
He taps his chin in thought.
"Well, would he have checked out any of the public rooms? Like maybe he got stuck in a refrigerator in the cafeteria or something."
no subject
"I-I guess if nothing else, the kitchen is a good place to check." ... "Has...everything been okay with you? ... with everything that's going on I mean.."
no subject
"Trust me, if you get hungry enough, you can totally get stuck behind a refrigerator."
He smiles a little, giving a shrug as they walk.
"I guess. I've mostly been staying out of the way, y'know? I've still only been here less than two months. It's not exactly my fight."
no subject
"... yeah, ...same here. It's one thing to fight against a common enemy to protect our home worlds, but this..." She shook her head, "Anyway it's more important to find Natsu right now."
no subject
A long story that starts with 'Heath is an idiot'. He nods.
"Yeah, we need to get him the heck out of this mess before he gets dragged into it."
no subject
She has weird friends.
"I don't think there's anything we could do to prevent it if Natsu got dragged into something like that. But there isn't anything burning or destroyed, so I think it's a pretty good bet that he isn't caught up in it yet." He also might not be here, but...she'd rather not think about that right now.
no subject
God he misses meat. He lets out a chuckle at that, even if it's probably...not all that funny.
"Well, no, no fires yet. But if that's his style, I like it."
no subject
"... Well he is a Fire Dragon Slayer. And he's so crazy strong, things just tend to turn out that way - things getting wrecked and on fire." She smiled absently, "Although it can be a little inconvenient on some missions..especially when the client doesn't pay as much to cover the cost of repairs."
But you know, she'd give anything for his recklessness right now. Even if it was something she could scold him about.
no subject
"A guy after my own heart. We could all use a little more fire in our lives," and then he winces. "Yeah, I'm still trying to pay back the damage I did to the ice cream machine in school."
no subject
"You two would probably get along, I think." Fire plus Fire? Can't go wrong with that right? ... unless they got too into training and wrecked the place and set it on fire and ... god she may have just come up the worst idea possible. She stared at Heath again, "You wrecked an ice cream machine?"
no subject
"I get along with most people, so that's probably likely. I've got a super easy going personality," also almost zero modesty. He gives a nervous chuckle. "It was an accident."
no subject
Snrk. Yes, zero modesty. Now she was beginning to wonder if it'd be a good idea to have the two hotheads meet. "As soon as he comes back I'll introduce the two of you then." Accident huh? Most of the 'accidents' that happened at the guild tended to be over the top - she had a feeling it might be the same with him. "What kind of accident? What happened?"
no subject
It's safe to say he's used to a lot more insanity than Exilium. He gives a nervous chuckle.
"Well, most of my accidents are flame related. As in...errr I set things on fire and then it gets out of hand."
no subject
"That sounds familiar," she smiles weakly, "Maybe you have more in common with Natsu than I thought."
no subject
And heck, if there was one thing Heath could use here, it was more friends. Especially those who understand his more...eccentric ways.
"You really think so?"
no subject
The good thing about befriending Lucy is that oftentimes her friends will be friends with the person she's friends with too! Automatic additional camraderie, yay~! "Yeah I do," she smiled, "You'll see, when we find him." Or if they don't find him, then he'll see when Natsu comes back. Because he will, after all. No question.
no subject
He offers her another smile, nudging her with his elbow gently.
"Of course, and we'll find him in no time, you'll see."
