Summary: New Transports arrive and are shuffled into the Observatory after their initial briefings.
Warnings: None.

Your arrival here has been very unceremonious. One second you were somewhere else, and now, very suddenly, your feet hit the glowing white of the Transporter pad, and you're here. You aren't alone, either. There's a crowd of others around you, each seeming just as bewildered, angry, or confused as you might feel. At the head of the group is a woman in purple robes, solemn and taciturn. She hurries over a quick overview of your intended purpose here, and gives direct answers when asked for them, but to most things she simply shows you how to access the tablet you've just been given, or tells you that the DITR's greeters will explain everything. On the tablet, you can find the history of this place and a record of what your new cohorts have experienced. Someone stands on hand to give you a weapon, and though the armory is now greatly reduced, you should be able to find something to suit you.

You're shepherded down a walkway tunnel and into the Observatory, where you will find screens mounted on three sides of the wide room; they show multiple variations of satellite images, focused on... somewhere snowy. It's difficult to say more than that, but those that record heat readings seem to suggest there are people there, where ever "there" is. It's night outside the great wide windows, and the lunar landscape isn't much to look at right now. But, hey, at least all the lights are on, right? No more creepy red emergency lighting upon arrival — not that you'd know anything about that.

You're free to explore the base, visit and use any of the VR rooms, or discover your new room and roommates, but try not to step out of any airlocks if oxygen is a requirement for your system.

[ Confused? So's Kougyoku. Intimidated by all this technology, this girl in elegant robes has no idea what to do after being brought to the moon. She didn't even think that was possible. Without her escorts or anyone else in her family to tell her what to do, however, she easily falls back into one of her habits—people-watching.

Now, this isn't the kind of people-watching you do at a cafe where you observe everyone quietly as you sip your coffee. Kougyoku literally follows people and watches them from afar. If you look friendly? She's watching you. If you look like you're doing something fun? She's watching you. If you look attractive? You bet she's watching you. She just can't seem to work up the courage to talk to you!

The lonely princess can be found anywhere like the loser she is, hiding around walls and corners. Her dress and hairstyle make her hard to miss. ]

[Yosuke knows what it's like to show up in a new location without any friends or anything like that. Granted, Inaba was a lot easier to transition into than Exsilium is but... No, even after a month, he hasn't quite gotten used to the rhythm of this place. But the fact that there was a girl dressed like she was going to a convention or something hiding behind a corner? Not that easy to miss.

He doesn't mean to sneak up on her, but he was kinda curious as to what she's looking at. And let's face it, Yosuke was never the smoothest operator when it came to interacting with girls. Like seriously]

So... What are you looking at?

[came a voice from slightly behind and next her, as Yosuke tries to stay incognito by staying behind the corner with her]

[ Kougyoku jolts up at the sudden presence behind her, but she quickly attempts to collect herself. This place is full of weird clothes and weird people. ]

Nothing! I'm not doing anything suspicious or anything. [ She said anything twice, though. ] I was only wondering what VR meant. Don't you think it's a strange name?

[Yosuke jumps back when Kougyoku jolts up, hands raised in front of him and it's a good signal of how well Chie's conditioned him that the immediately fears for his life]

Sorry, sorry! It, uh... It's a lot to take in so don't worry about it. I was staring a lot too when I first got here. [when the immediate threat of getting hit passes, the teen gives the girl a wink without even thinking about it]

... You don't know what VR means? I mean, it's just an abbreviation. "Virtual Reality." Y'know, like... [he casts about for an explanation, hands doing a rolling motion, but... Oh man, now that he thought about it-] Actually, I don't really know how it works. But it's pretty neat.

[Usually Yuri forgets people, but this one... he remembers her. She was different and had an awkward personality, a type that he usually tends not to forget. But, ah, what was her name? He's not sure if she remembers her last stay, so maybe he shouldn't address it.

Still, she needs to stop staring at others like that. It's kinda creepy.

But really, her name was on the tip of his tongue. Oh yeah! He remembers it now! So, he just approaches her from behind, placing a firm hand on her shoulder.]

Looks like you got some shady habits there, Cookie.

[Cookie was totally her name, right?]

[ Kougyoku yelps - she can't help it. She's in a world full of strangers. Of course she'd be surprised at the tone of familiarity. It's almost rude! ]

I'm not a shady person! [ The next reaction which should have been her first comes after a delay; she pulls away from the man. ] Unhand me!

I know I'm not doing anything wrong... Rather, isn't it you who is in the wrong? Touching a girl like that...

[concealingeyes]

[Kido senses someone watching her and when she turns, it's hard not to recognise the girl. It takes her a beat longer to remember her name - has she been here that long? - but the moment she remembers it she waves in excitement.]

Oi, Kougyoku! Don't be shy!

[ Kougyoku hides even further when the girl calls out to her. Someone else here knew her? But that can't be! She just got here! Besides, she made absolutely sure not to reveal her identity as a princess of the Kou Empire.

She's panicking! She calls out from her hiding spot: ]

H-how do you know my name? Are you a stalker!?

[ Don't accuse your friends of being stalkers... ]

( her dress and especially her hairstyle make her easy to recognize too, for all that they'd spoken twice a long time ago; but it's enough that he remembers her a bit, even if not what her name was. so he brightens and waves when he notices her watching her, approaching with an easy smile. )

[ Was he talking to her? He was definitely talking to her. Time to hide. ... But now only the top of her hairdo is showing. Why.

He looks friendly enough, so maybe it's okay to... No! Ka Koubun told her not to talk to strangers! Besides, what would she say to him? She can't think of anything, she's no good at that. ]

[Gin's pretty fond of people watching himself, and he'd even give her an A for effort but...wow step up your game 0/10 for skill.

So rather than ruin her game he actually follows her until she's mostly distracted, then stands right behind her and leans down, looking over her shoulder.]

What're you staring at?

[ wow excuse you she only sucks right now because she doesn't blend in! Then again, with that sort of hairdo, it's next to impossible.

Of course, the only way to react to this guy was to gasp, then rush to the nearest wall and press her back against it. Stranger danger. ]

Nothing! [ The monitors in the observatory. ] Is it a tradition to look over one's shoulder in this place? I'm beginning to believe that's the case!

[Seto is, as always, just short of everywhere, and greeting everyone he passes with a bright smile while doing odd jobs here and there. Friendly? Check. Cheerful? Check. Attractive? Well.... his friends say that he is, so that counts, doesn't it? Mostly check! The interesting thing is that he's actually surprisingly sharp when it comes to noticing the glances of others, and upon realizing that a pair of eyes are on him, he offers a friendly wave to Kougyoku and approaches her without a second thought.]

Hey there! Do you need help with something?

[ Overwhelmed by his friendliness and his sudden interest, Kougyoku steps back quite a bit. ]

No, I'm all right—

[ That's when she trips over her own robes and falls on her butt. ]

[ While the clothing is distinctly eastern or at least very foreign, as if the hair color wasn't enough of a sign of strangeness, at the very least she seems much more formal than other girls, something Anne sees in the way she walks and stands...even if she seems as meek as a mouse.

In her own belled sleeves and layered skirts, this Englishwoman must find herself taking pity on the foreigner. It is her job to welcome all she can, and this one could be new. If not there, will be no harm done.

Anne dips just slightly, one hand touching her skirt as she curtsies behind her, the other seeming too lost in staring at others. ]

My lady, you seem in distress. My name is Anne Boleyn, and I have been charged with welcoming any lost soul who may be reborn in this world.

[ Kougyoku perks her head up and gasps when she hears the voice behind her, and once knowing its owner wasn't of the mean or heckling sort, she turns around to collect herself before greeting the woman with a bow. ]

I thank you. I am Kougyoku. It is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Anne [ Withholding her last name for now. She doesn't want anyone to know of her status. It's obvious, though. ] Another man said he was in charge of that as well, but my experience with him was... unpleasant.

[ that hairstyle and outfit catches his attention from afar (WOW SUCH NICE HAIR!!). he's interested in whoever this woman is, so he approaches her. ]

New here? [ his suave, cool demeanor and friendly smile are in full gear. he looks over her quickly, very impressed with her taste in fashion. her hair is even better looking closer up. ]

[ a little red sparrow lands on Koujaku's shoulder after it flies from across the hall. Beni does a little whistle before speaking. ] Seems we got dropped in a Chinese drama and we're here to save ya, princess. Don't worry, I'm the brains of this operation and this guy is just the brawn!

[ She doesn't know what to react to first. The dashing and debonair man before her? The little red bird on her shoulder? Or something else entirely— ]

How did you know I was a princess!?

[ IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET!!!! ]

[It's unfortunate that Kano's the one she chose to watch. When he's aware of someone staring at him, he glances back and quickly turns around to hide his grin. Ah. There's no way he wouldn't recognize someone dressed so elaborately behaving like some awkward, timid deer.

He leads her on for a bit, walking around and humming to himself before he uses his powers to disappear for a split second. A moment later, he taps her on the shoulder from behind.]

Stalking people is cree~eepy, you know.

[ She watches him closely, but his sudden disappearance takes her by surprise. Her eyes widen, she looks around. What happened?

The tap on her shoulder prompts her to scream. ]

Don't scare girls like that!

[ She flails her arms in anger. This guy! This guy...! ]

I, I wasn't stalking you! I just happened to pass this way...

[ It's when Kougyoku is watching somebody else from behind a wall that Totsuka comes across her. Curiously, he looks towards where she is gazing at -- a person talking to another person, huh.

Anyway, this looks fun! Very quietly, like a spy but smiling, he asks: ]

[ That voice... it's familiar! Kougyoku gasps and turns around to greet her friend— ]

[ Taller, leaner, just plain different—he's not Alibaba. Kougyoku deflates. ]

S-sorry... [ She turns her head away. ] I mistook you for someone else.

[ beat ]

And they are not my friends.

[Kougyoku isn't the only one that's hard to miss. Thanks to far too much influence from a certain fashion girl, Rise is all dressed up (minus the hat and with cute hair bows in her twintails instead), and probably drawing quite a bit of attention.

Which means she doesn't notice too much when this particular elegantly dressed girl watches her. She even offers her a friendly smile when she notices her.]

[She knows things can be pretty overwhelming when people first show up, and she's trying to be brave and do her part to help out again this month. Despite everything...]
