Summary: For the first time since October, thee Transports can come freely back down to Earth... Time to go Walking in a Winter Wonderland.

Notes: Standard fare - indicate a time and location in subject lines for your characters! The move back down to Earth began on December 5th, and people can ride up on return trips at their own discretion.

Touchdown in a frigid landscape creates a field of melted snow quickly turning into ice underneath the spaceship, ushering people into a wickedly cold environment in what looks like an untouched snowy landscape. It's difficult to make out the structure procured by the Scouting Team's efforts, but the older structure was being converted into something livable in a sense, heat brought in along with one or two women to work with the old power lines.

The New Initiative isn't a friendly lot. They're hesitant to engage, sometimes outright surly, and they watch the Transports for any sign of betrayal or the unusual. When they see signs, they gasp, or turn away, or frown, sometimes making comments before they can stop themselves. It's never more than a handful present at any time. Larger gatherings are too dangerous, and they can't afford for this to be a trap that sets them back a decade or more.

Transports have whatever they brought down with them. Areas of the facility are able to be sectioned off, acting like smaller private rooms. They're meant to be emergency stay-over spaces, holding residents who need extra help before moving around in this landscape. Places where the clinic might set up too, but it's all the Transports moving as they are right now, and no sense of something larger to guide them. The AI focuses it's efforts on coordinating the move of the Transport Pad and operating the ship itself. Everyone's been busy.

[That long red hair... even his frame - it's familiar. Her heart rate takes a little jump. She knew he was around, of course, but she hadn't seen him.

Still, it's too good an opportunity to pass up. She creeps closer, through the snow... and when she thinks she's close enough, wings the snowball at his back!]

[ you know, he is simply trying to enjoy a damn smoke. why can't he enjoy this moment???

the snowball hits his back, and he doesn't react at all. his posture remains the same, arms still lightly crossed as he stares in front of him. he exhales smoke through his nose as he gives the culprit a few more seconds before turning around to see who it is. ]

[Joke's on you, Cross, because suddenly she's invisible. If she stays where other people have packed down the snow with their footsteps, she's still tough to track.

[ brat.

he is going to see how much patience he has before he uses sorcery to fish the culprit out. time for a walk as he continues on with his cigarette, eye sweeping the snow for an abnormal pop of color or movement. ]

[A huge brat, indeed.

She'll just tail him briefly, then, sticking to the packed snow, occasionally bending to invisibly pick up another moldable piece and squish it together. When she has a snowball ready, she tosses it... at his side.]

[ oh no you don't this time.

the snowball will hit an unforeseen barrier, sliding down it and landing on the ground with a wet, misshapen plop. it also doubles as a way for him to figure out where this culprit is. his left, right, or back? hm hm hmmmmmmmm... ]

[Aw! She gasps, though that sound, too, is covered by her shield.

Okay, that is enough playing though - she never intended to hide the whole time.

Two seconds later, disappointed, at his back now:]

[ he does not turn once he hears her voice, still finishing off the cigarette as he exhales through his nostrils. ]

You honestly thought I would let you get me not once, but twice? Tsk tsk~

[She just stares at his back a moment - then she has to cover her smile with a hand. It's good to hear his voice again, even if he doesn't remember anything.

She can roll with that, anyway.]

Did it bruise you? Oh dear...

[ he lets out a scoff as he turns to see the culprit, who is a rather cute girl! heeeeey cutie...

but first, business to attend to! (not really though.) ]

You wish. You probably caused some redness at worst. Better luck next time, eh?

[Oh!! She pulls such a face at him. A childish face, sticking her tongue out.]

Maybe I will have. Watch out!

And what is the name of this darling [ sarcastically said ] girl who vows to strike me down with a snowball again?

[That makes her grin a little, sunnily - then she smothers it with an assassin's ruthless efficiency and stares at him seriously.]

I'm Rin. [Note how she doesn't ask his name.] But look at you. It's impossible to not want to throw a snowball at your head... [Who says this shit, honestly?]
