here we come to a turning of the season
Date & Time: December 2, afternoon-ish
Location: Koltira's lake
Characters: Artemis Ratcliff, Koltira Deathweaver, assumed offscreen cameo by an angry mermaid
Summary: guys with pointy ears who are definitely not braiding each other's hair
Warnings: none for now, but unpleasant subjects may very well come up in conversation
It had been several weeks since the incident with Niall. Artemis had not been foolish enough to believe that Aileen wouldn't be displeased with him, or that her displeasure would go away quickly. He had opted to give her space, and this was the first time that he had attempted to visit the lake in the weeks since then, hoping that enough time had passed that she would not be so irate with him.
Apparently, he was wrong, as his currently dripping wet state could testify as he stalked away from the lake. A shiver ran through his body involuntarily. The cold didn't harm him in the same way that it did mortals, but it was still uncomfortable when his body had not been given time to adjust. At the moment, the fact that he was soaking from head to toe was only slowing down that process, and he ground his teeth as he wrapped his arms around himself and tried to ignore his state of discomfort.
