That wall...well, right now, Adam just wants to take a sledgehammer and break the damn thing to bits. There was no need for it now, and the older man feels so much regret in letting it go on back then. They all did. What else could they do back in those days?

But now that Adam's older, he became a bit wiser in that aspect. Learning about other teams and how some had to go through the same thing that they did...it hurt. And he'll admit that when he heard the Overdrive team quit just because they felt like they were not needed, that pissed him off. While they did come to their senses later, it was something that reminded him of Billy's own situation except with a different outcome:
