Like a thief in the night [Closed to
noble_nate]
Date & Time: Jan. 2-7 (YOU SAW NOTHING!)
Location: From the Initiate to the UE
Characters: Duncan and Nathaniel Howe
Summary: Duncan and Nate decide it's time to glean more information about the enemy. In typical Warden fashion, they decide to go it alone.
Warnings: Possible violence, mention of drug use and addiction
Ever since the dead had walked among them, Duncan was looking for things involved enough to take his mind off of what happened with Fiona. It wasn't easy. When they weren't up to their ears in zombies or monsters or off in some other timeline, the life of a transport was slow.
He had spoken a couple of times with Rendon Howe's boy, hardly a boy anymore, and found him agreeable company. More than that he was capable, someone recruited by Elissa as a Warden after the end of the Blight. He was curious about that time, well past his demise in Thedas. He had stopped looking back in all but the bleakest of moments, determined to do what he could to make a useful life for himself here until his time ran out.
He was now familiar with the island. It was, perhaps, time to expand those horizons and seek what was in shortest supply, intelligence on their enemy. He gathered a few supplies in his pack, left a note for his roommates not to worry, and slipped out into the hallway. After a quick double check to be sure he knew where he was going, he arrived unannounced at Nate's door with a solid knock of gauntlets. "It's Duncan," he called. "Is anyone home?"
