(closed) when the wind blows the cradle will rock...

Date & Time: December 31st & Early Afternoon
Location: Streets near the Hold
Characters: Kratos Brickhead and Sakura Hairinface
Summary: Two people who vaguely know each other run into each other!
Warnings: My summaries are absolutely terrible. None; will update as needed.

( Sakura brushes her bangs back off her face, adjusting the two canvas bags of fresh produce in her arms. She's taking a breather as the world prepares to begin a new year, cooking for herself and whichever of her roommates might be home.

She's still note sure who they both are, and half expects one of them has glitched right back to their proper timeline. That, or gone completely native.

It's as she walks back along the streets, wearing her heavier cloak against the chill fog and occasional light rains, that she catches sight of someone she recognizes. Stepping off the sidewalk, Sakura checks the flow of traffic before striking off at a diagonal toward the other side of the road. She lifts her hand in a wave of greeting: )

Mr. Aurion!

[After what might be considered a productive training session, Kratos had decided it was about time to head on out. Overexerting the body is never a good idea, even with an extremely high level of endurance thanks to an exsphere. Best to call it quits while being ahead.

As he makes his way out of the Hold, he wipes a bead of sweat from his brow before setting off down the street. Thoughts of training evolve into thoughts of what else needed to be done today. Any contemplation about police force work and if baking cookies for Lloyd would be a good idea gets abruptly cut short upon hearing someone call his name.

Kratos stops in his tracks and glances over a shoulder. Ah, it's that healer from that unpleasant bricking experience. The wave receives a nod of acknowledgement. Nothing gets said due to her still being a good distance away.]

[It's nice to see healers so invested in those they have healed. This sort of care is reminiscent of Martel, actually. Seeing people like her around makes this whole situation the teeniest bit more pleasant.]

No, you're not. As for my health, I've been fairing well and the injury has long since healed.

[Perks of having some healing spells is that you could heal up smaller injuries. Concussions might be out of his league, but a bloody wound was simple enough.]

huh I had no idea there was a Kratos in Splendor

[The sentiments are shared by Kratos, actually. A girl matching this one's appearance had possibly been in Death City, but, should they have been the same person, contact with her had been non-existent.]

Though not somewhere one would consider taking a vacation, the living conditions are acceptable and the training facilities, as well.

[The latter being fairly impressive. Perhaps they weren't up to say military standard, but they weren't far below the mark.]
flamberge: (valour -- this is how we talk)

yup checked and there was one! you have a really good memory, just saying

Seeing as their goal is to trump against a more than formidable opponent, ensuring their pawns do not get killed needlessly seems more the reason.
flamberge: (temperance -- what on earth...)

Most people would kill for this sort of memory, just saying

[Now that officially catches Kratos' attention. Maybe his eyes narrow the slightest bit.]

Behavior modification chips?

[He may not know exactly what those are but they definitely do not sound pleasant.]
flamberge: (sagacity -- contemplative)

actually it's good when you need to recall stuff from threads aggggess ago

Ineffective they may have been, but the fact they had been used to begin with is disturbing in and of itself. [Mind controlling the masses... disgusting.] Is a majority of the UN's populace under the influence of these drugs?
flamberge: (hope -- you don't say?)

best sort of memory!

Are you aware of the details behind this capture, ones pertaining to how this capture came about and other revealed information?
