Frodo shifted the pastries in hand, renewing his grip, for he had been mere seconds away from dropping one or all on the ground. After the work he had put into getting them, even losing one would be too much.
"No," Frodo then, after thinking it over, said quickly, "Yes, I suppose. I know how to get to my room from here but not how to get home."
The hobbit looked from where the lad was hovering and where he had been looking. Really, what was he doing?
"What are you doing around here anyway? If you are thinking of lifting some cakes from here, I wouldn't bother if I were you. This kitchen watches them too closely."
