He sort of flinched when the littler boy shifted his grip and nearly lost a few of the pastries, sort of reaching out as if to help, but he didn't want him to think he was trying to take them from him (much as he would have liked to help lighten his load).

"I dunno how to get home either," Lea admitted, folding his arms. "I'm not even sure how I got here." He frowned at him, furrowing his brow a bit. "Lift? You mean steal?" Lea pursed his lips. "I'd thought about it," he admitted. "I tried to pay, but they wouldn't take my money..."

He sighed and curled one arm around his midsection.

"Man I'm hungry, though," he complained. "Even if I did steal something, though, my friend would prolly scold me when I found him."

Stupid Isa. Maybe if he stole something the jerk would show up to yell at him so he could stop looking fruitlessly for him.
