[The petting to her hair slowly and surely made the child's whines and cries gradually soften until she was nothing more than letting out soft sniffles. Her fingers loosened to a degree in Hakuryuu's shirt but she didn't dare release him. It still didn't make sense why this stranger was so protective of her. There were many questions in her mind but she was snapped back to reality at the sound of his voice.]

F-Food? Are you sure I can eat? [She lifts her head up to shyly stare at Hakuryuu. She fidgets and lowers her gaze, as she brings herself closer to the warmth of the bigger body.]

I- I don't mind if I eat anything..I really want something in my tummy. It's been empty for a while. [Finally gathering the courage to look up, her fingers twist Hakuryuu's shirt underneath her small hands. It felt so soft and comforting.]
