Whatever progress they'd made seemed lost now and the calm was shattered just like that. Desperate to get Blue to calm down again Jack reached out instinctively, but stopped himself at the last moment, his hands hovering awkwardly above Blue's shoulders.
The expression on his face had turned earnest, almost pleading.
"I know. I know it's all really confusing and it doesn't make sense. I don't really understand it myself," he admitted honestly. The things going on here he felt were beyond his comprehension and frankly, he felt lost most of the time.
But he was a Guardian and his duty was to protect the children, he would stick with that regardless of what the Initiative wanted him to do. The children would always be his first priority.
He quickly glanced around and after spotting some seats nearby, he motioned to them.
