Though she's lived here since December, she hasn't yet had the chance to acquaint herself with her roommate as well as she'd like.

Of course, it's more like she hadn't taken the chance - the first few weeks in Exsilium had been filled with heartache and longing, things she'd let herself be consumed by more than she'd realized. Though still ever present, the pain had subsided somewhat by now; a constant sharp sting in the back of her mind, rather than something all encompassing. She's glad for that tonight, as she wanders into the kitchen and sees Collette already moving around inside.

With a smile, she approaches the girl.

"What are you making?"

"Chicken," Collette said, looking at the wrapped bundle of meat where it sat, next to the sink. "And rice."

The rice she had all set up and ready to go, sitting on top of the stove in her favorite pot. The chicken was what was currently leaving her stymied.

"I think I'm supposed to do something to the skin."

She hadn't even unwrapped it yet. "I'm not really sure what I should do, outside of bake it. Barbeques aren't a big deal in the 3000's. Who knew?"
