[OPEN~] Prickles and Splinters
Date & Time: Anytime during the timeline change event
Location: Outside of the Hold a ways, wherever there might be open space and a tree... Exsilium has trees, right?
Characters: Old lady Fiona and ANYONE/EVERYONE?? :>
Summary: Fiona’s testing some things, supposedly away from prying eyes. Feel free to greet her, just watch out for that... tree. Falling down. Over there.
Warnings: UH. Language possibly? If you don’t like exploding nature, maybe keep back...
Her intention was to test some things, to feel around and confirm the possibilities. But the usual spots for this she was familiar with seemed full of people. Some parts of the town and people were recognizable to Fiona, some buildings she recognized, some streets she could walk down and knew exactly where they would lead. It was almost disturbing. A place she did not think of, could not think of for thirty years now surrounding her and swallowing her whole. She let what memory she had of the streets guide her outside of the town and into the open spaces, so scattered and few on this island. It seemed enough for now, some quiet, no faces to wonder about. Perhaps, even some time to herself.
It would do for her intentions, finding a tree in the little open space she walked toward it, trudging in the mud, now that the town streets were behind her. Despite her white robes she hardly seemed to give a damn. The tree was a gnarled black dead thing, incredible it hadn’t rotted to the ground already. A decent enough target no one would miss in a world seeming to be equally dead. With a tap of her staff on the muddy ground her mana gathered and swirled toward the top and with a last breath of words a light beamed and shot from it into the nearby tree. With the impact the light created a circle around its trunk and then shrunk inward with splinters fracturing off the bark. Then, the light exploded outward and the trunk of the tree along with it. The top of it fell as the trunk shattered beneath it. A sight to see, no doubt, but Fiona looked hardly that enthused.
