Takegami curled his fingers, face remaining immpassive at the speech even though his heart pounded in his ears and the sudden familiar rush lit through his veins. A chance to kill. A chance to actually kill and main and maybe eat. Maybe it was an addict's reaction. Maybe it was just how his mind worked. It still made him feel far more inclined to hold off a few more days.

Calm. Takegami forced himself back into the patterns the announcement had broken, the repetitive strike-guard-block of a simple kata helping to clear his mind. It was one thing to be thrilled by the prospect of finding a target. It was another to show it. He might not care if they found out about his hobby, but he was a gentleman.
