Nik breathes an enormous sigh of relief. He's not worried about getting hurt, of course. Well, not much, at least. But... but it's good to know that if something goes wrong, if something goes terribly wrong, at least he can run back to Equius.

He likes Equius. Being around Equius makes him feel better. Safer.

"Okay," Nik says, with a small, solemn nod. "Thank you very much."

Feeling that this wasn't a complete enough show of gratitude, Nik raises his arms and attempts to hug Equius. Which is rather awkward, given their size difference, even with Equius crouching down.
