"—when humans travel by air, that is, in airplanes and flying vehicles like that, if their starting destination and ending destination are at different times of day relating to the sun, then that difference can throw our bodies into disarray, and we become lethargic and easily stressed until we acclimate to the new time of day."

She is pretty sure that didn't make any sense.

"That is, for example, if I leave first thing in the morning, say, nine o'clock at my starting point, and take an eight-hour flight west, to my body it will be five o'clock in the evening when I land. But the time of day there might only be eleven in the morning. For me, eight hours have passed, but 'around me,' it's only been two. My body will think it's night, but the world around me would be day. I can only assume that the people brought here came from different times of day as well."

A pause. "Does that make any sense?"
