One of the drawbacks to Kang's Weapon was that he needed others to practice it with. No matter how much he talked at inanimate objects, they didn't have competence to increase, or morale to bolster, or even the ability to hear him. So, he'd taken to offering assistance to others, particularly with swords; it had the added bonus of allowing him to get in more practice with his left hand as well.

He heard Emma long before he saw her, and he watched quietly for a moment, studying her grip and her stance. She was clearly new to it.

"You'll have better balance if you keep your feet a little further apart."
