and oh, yes, if Tony seems to be acting strangely then he's actually not
Date & Time: Night of January Seventh.
Location: Some bar near the top of Roslyn's list.
Characters: Tony "The Matchmaker" Stark, and anyone there.
Summary: "well maybe i can make a log or something of tony sitting all maudlin in a bar periodically sniggering to himself as he sees profiles come in."
Warnings: Sad, drunk, soggy little Stark.
[ So far, the whole thing seemed to have a vaguely mixed reaction, but mostly okay, which was honestly what he was expecting out of it. It's just been fun, watching the reactions, watching the finished profiles trickle in - Emma Frost picking 'Hi, I'm Tony Stark' as a pick-up line had audibly made him snigger in his seat at the bar. Not that he cared - the empty bottle in front of him saw to that, and the mostly empty one next to it just ensured the fact.
But that did leave the fact that he was actually sitting in a bar with his tablet, laughing to himself. Kind of sad. On top of everything else, he was probably ten grey hairs away from a mid-life crisis or something. Who knew. Tony was pretty sure, personally, that he'd already had one of those. Maybe even two. Either way, too many to be having another one this soon. Which just left things like, malaise, depression - ugh, things he didn't want to think about.
Benefit of alcohol? You don't have to think if you don't want to.
So, yeah. Lots of negative stuff, but he doesn't look like it. He's a pro at not showing shit in public - habit of growing up public. So he looks totally approachable, friendly even. Who wants to know what the guy at the bar is laughing at? ]
