kingside: (a gentle world)

In contrast to his ailing sister, Lelouch had been filled with a nervous energy from the moment he'd heard she had arrived, and if he could be said to be sick with anything, it would be worry. Nunnally in this place? But it was far milder than their world in many ways, cushioned as they normally were by the Initiative and their geographic separation from the UE. That was easy enough to rationalize, of course, but from a practical standpoint, there was nothing in the world that could stop Lelouch from worrying about his sister.

She must be scared. Alone. Lost. C.C. may have had made contact with her, but how was she really doing, here, on her own? At least on their world Suzaku and the rest of her royal entourage had kept her company; here she was entirely on her own.

That was more or less the case Lelouch had made for himself to drop everything and rush to her side, at any rate, and since as he had told C.C. there was literally no reason whatsoever to keep himself from making contact with her on this world (no royal spies to track him, no one to realize he'd regained his memories, no Emperor), well, drop everything and rush to her side was damn well what he was going to do.

The scant floors that separated from her were easily conquered, from that perspective, even if he did take the elevator rather than the stairs, and before too long, he found himself outside of her apartment, rapping his knuckles smartly on the door and hoping the sound would carry. With any luck, his sister would actually be present to answer the summons. God only knew how long it would take him to track her down if she weren't home.
