Erza braces herself for Sayaka's blow, her sword comes up to meet the Magical Girl's blade; however it isn't the same weapon she had been holding a moment ago.

The sword that catches Sayaka's is shorter, its twin held in Erza's left hand. The weight of Sayaka's attack is enough to force Erza to take a step back but the wizard's reprisal comes quickly as she rushes forward.

Not wanting to insult Sayaka by going easy on her Erza begins her assault with a flurry of sword strikes intended to force her opponent back whilst assessing her defensive capabilities at the same time.
