[Oh hello citizens of Exsilium, I trust you've all been well? After the giant Roman Invasion things have been pretty quiet...

Well that's about to change. You may be walking through the city getting food, you might be getting other supplies, on your way to train, or even just hanging out. You may hear an engine revving up during your trip...followed by a crazy British man with red hair in a driving outfit speeding by on a moped. If you DO see one,  not only did he most likely almost hit you, but he doesn't seem to be driving it right...just kicking back while the vehicle moves like it has a mind of its own...

...and maybe it does. So anyway, I'd get outta the way if I were you~]

[ Satero's out exploring the city when he hears the thing coming for him, and his first reaction is to turn and snarl at the moped headed straight for him. Luckily for him, he doesn't get enough time to try and punch it as he'd intended-- instinct takes over, causing him to throw himself to safety first, tripping over the curb in the process and stumbling to a graceless halt.

That done, he turns back around and immediately chases after Mod. Get out of the way? NOW WHY WOULD HE DO THAT. ]

Hey!

Two crazies walk in. One walks out. WHO WILL IT BE?

[And Mod is just relaxing on that vespa of his, minding his own business like he's complete innocent even though we all know he isn't. That is, until he hears someone shout from behind him. He looks over and the lad is actually chasing him.

...]

Well, that's a first! Can I 'elp you, lad?

[His voice his filled with amusement as he shouts back.]

heh HEH SHAKE HANDS, YOU TWO, AND MAY THE BETTER CRAZY WIN

[strangle]

[ Satero doesn't appear to realize that chasing directly after a moped on foot is not, in fact, going to work out in his favor. That's probably because he's somehow managed to completely ignore the fact that Mod is riding a vehicle at all. Despite the fact that it nearly ran him over.

Basically, as far as Satero's concerned, the only thing that matters is that Mod is somehow magically getting further and further away and of course it doesn't matter how.

He raises his voice so that Mod can hear him. ]

Yeah. Come back.

[checksum]

[The sight of Mod kicking back on his Vespa piques Osprey's curiosity, as he moves easily out of its way. So, he boots up his implants' sniffer software, to listen and see if the scooter's got any sort of radio signal going to or from it.]

[school_of_mod]

[The vespa itself is pretty complex. In fact, it's more like a robot vehicle, seeming to have a mind of its own. But it does contain a radio signal, the same one was Mod's cane, which is currently in his hands.]

YES, I approve of this so much.

[school_of_mod]

Eh? Come back? Well, only because you asked~

[And the vespa is backing up now, heading straight for Satero in reverse.]

[Curious, and more than a little bored, Osprey pulls up his spoofer routine, and after enough time for his adaptive protocol analytics to figure out the basics for the signal the cane and bike are using, tries to gain access to the bike's software.]

[school_of_mod]

[You'll be having a hard time hacking into the software. Once the bike starts to be accessed, the signal frequency is automatically altered...and Mod is alerted thanks to his cane.

With a push of the ruby on said cane, the vespa stops. Mod then shifts into the normal driving position and starts going back where he came. Something tried to hack into his vehicle and more importantly, his cane, and he's gonna find out what.]

[strangle]

[ So now that thing's making a beeline straight for Satero at a worrying speed. What does Satero do?

GRIN AND CONTINUE RUNNING AT IT, OF COURSE. That's obviously the right course of action to take. What could possibly go wrong. ]

[school_of_mod]

[A game of chicken, huh? Mod's okay with that. So the vespa's still going at the same speed, in the same direction, with the Brit grinning all the way.]

[There's not a lot to suggest that Osprey's the source of the hack outwardly. He's just a guy, granted a guy with odd-colored skin, but a guy nonetheless, leaning back on a bench and watching the Vespa go back and forth.

On the radio signal front, though, it'd be hard to miss him - he's not exactly being subtle right now. The frequency shift was a momentary setback, quickly adjusted to, but the scooter kept catching him. Frowning internally, he starts analyzing the signal traffic more closely, trying to find what's giving him away.]

[school_of_mod]

[Meanwhile, Mod is keeping the bait signal on for a bit longer than normal, as to figure out where the other singal is coming from. Once he gets the signal, he plans on tracking the whereabouts of the signal and what's causing it.]

[strangle]

[ Satero's good at this game.

So good, in fact, that they start to edge right close to collision aaaaand... Satero lunges. With the full intention of hitting either the vespa or Mod himself -- whichever gets in the way first. Or he might just hit the ground, if the vespa manages to get out of the way. In any case Satero is dead set on bodyslamming something.

That wasn't even the worst thing Satero could've done. He'd been this close to trying to headbutt the vehicle instead. ]

[bloody_hime]

[Hime heard the Vesper coming from behind her and turned to look. She raises an eyebrow at the sight of it, as well as how Mod is driving it. She steps to the side right before she is hit, and continues to watch, seeing what he does next.]

[school_of_mod]

[The sheer thought of Mod going full force backwards, having this nimrod crash into the vehicle, then Mod landing perfectly fine was tempting, but he decided for all intents and purposes that it would be funnier if this wackjob crashed into the ground.

Plus it would save his new machine from a possible dent. So yeah, Mod's vehicle is swerving out of the way and then stops once it's "safe".]

That's quite the 'ard 'ead you 'ave there.

[school_of_mod]

[And Mod will just be zipping along still chilling on his ride without a care in the world. However, once he sees he has someone watching him, the vehicle will back track and merely go around in a circle near Hime location.]

Can I 'elp you with something, lass?

[strangle]

[ Yep, there goes Satero. Swearing in surprise as Mod dodges at the last second, crashing straight into the ground. He picks himself up fast but still looks awkward about it, looking around and blinking in stupid confusion until he hears Mod speak. Then he whips around to face him.

He doesn't answer, except to bare his teeth and snarl as he advances towards the other, rolling his sleeves up as he goes. ]

I was just watching to see if you almost hit anyone else

Worried that I singled you out?

[He smirks.]

I don't pick favorites, so you don't 'ave to worry about that.

[This guy would scary if...Mod was sane. And hey, let's be honest, he's not. So instead of hightailing it out of there, he actually gets into the driving position and revs the engine.

He clearly isn't scared.]

[ Red X managed to hear the moped coming up behind him, and managed to teleport directly out of the way and on top of a streetlight. ]

What the hell, Mod?

[school_of_mod]

[Mod's still zipping by, but he stops and puts his machine into reverse when he hears Red X, then stops when he reaches the bottom of the street light.]

What, can't a Brit 'ave some fun every now an' then?

[ Is that how it's gonna be then? Oh yeah, you BET we're about to get ourselves a fight sc--

Satero stops dead in his tracks. It slowly dawns on him that humans don't typically make revving noises, so... his gaze flicks down, and finally sees the moped. He looks back up to glare. ]

The hell is that?

[school_of_mod]

You mean you've never seen one before? How dreadful. I suppose Uncle Moddie will 'ave to educate you on it, then.

[He gestures to the vehicle.]

This, my one-eyed friend, is a vespa. It's a type of vehicle.

[strangle]

[ Satero wanders over, though he keeps his eye on Mod rather than the vespa. Up until he's about a foot away from both, anyway. Then he stares at it. He's still angry, of course, but his curiosity has temporarily overridden that. ]

Looks like a motorcycle. But stupid. Why didn't you just get a real bike?
