Altaïr had been the next in line for the title of Grand Master, and with the old man dead and himself missing, the Order would be without an intended successor. It would be chaos.

Unless Malik had found a way to keep control. And knowing his old friend, that was very possible.

He gave himself a mental slap before focusing on the last part of what the boy in front of him said. This wasn't the time to get caught in his thoughts.

A sentiment I can understand; I wish my past on no one. And you do not need to apologize for not passing on knowledge which you do not wish to; if this skill is a dangerous one, you are the only one who can decide if it is to be taught to another.
