Summary: lena gets the world's most polite and considerate roommate (not)

[ calling karkat's encounters in the courtyard exhausting would be a gross understatement; by the time he makes it to his designated apartment and turns the key in the door, he feels vaguely as though he's been turned inside out and picked apart both emotionally and mentally, to the point where he isn't really sure how to begin putting himself back together again.
it's been a long day.
he pushes the door open and steps inside, not really knowing what to expect inside. he isn't naive enough to hope it will be pleasant. ]
