She turns a corner, keeping an eye out to see if he's following. For a dragon he's considerably tame. He didn't exhibit any fear of her, so he must be familiar with humans enough from being here or home to trust them not to do anything to him.

Or he's confident enough humans can't hurt him.

"It's like that for a lot of us," she says. "When humans are children, we don't know a lot about the world either."
