It's clear that hasn't be rung out of him, and it's a testament to his heart. And, even if it had been rung out, Kaworu would be here for him.

The bed creaks as Kaworu stands, and he walks around it, towards Billy. He's promised to help the other Evangelion pilots lead a happy life here - and he'll happily promise to do the same for Billy.

"It won't be easy," he says softly, stopping next to him to put a hand on his shoulder. Billy must listen. "Because a life like that is not easily forgotten.
