Leo's late in returning from the orphanage that resided outside of the Hold. He'd stayed longer than his community service actually required because despite himself, he was starting to like spending his time there. It wasn't like the orphanage he'd somewhat grown up in back in his world, but it was starting to become the closest thing he could compare it to. To home. The children in the orphanage here weren't like his siblings in the House of Fianna at all, they didn't share the bond of all being a little strange, but it's still a familiarity that he finds himself latching onto foolishly. He should have known better than to ask for his community service to be moved there, really. But it's too late now and he's starting to get attached even though he told himself he wouldn't.
It couldn't be helped.
He's briskly making his way back to the apartment complex, completely unaware of the blackout that happened there, distracted by thoughts of the books waiting for him back in his bed until he rounds a corner and is rudely snapped out of said thoughts by the sight that greets him. A giant wolf. He abruptly stops in his tracks, a startled gasp escaping him before he goes perfectly still. Mentally he automatically reaches for his Chain, ready to summon it and he can feel Jabberwock ready to spring into existence, but he has no idea if he'll make it in time if the wolf decides to pounce.
