Shepard didn't break her concentration, popping off another round even as a grin slid onto her face. Once she was sure the target was destroyed, she turned her head to look at Tali. The woman lifted her free hand - the one wielding the biotics at the moment - in a wave towards her friend.

"Hey, I can't let Garrus think he's got an edge on me, next time I see him. That wouldn't do," she said, tone just as light and playful. She lowered the Valkyrie, wrinkling her nose a bit. "Turian's got something of a big head, if you hadn't noticed."

It was a playful sort of observation. It also made her feel hollow all of a sudden, missing the turian, missing her ship, missing home.
