[For what's probably a first in a long time, Zelos can be found in the training room. ]

[He seems to be at one of the punching bag stations, punching and kicking away as if the punching bag did something to offend him. His movements are almost perfectly smooth, moving and turning like its some sort of dance than a one sided fight. ]

[Six billion. That's the number of people on Earth around that time, according to the library. Six billion people were either dead or soon to be dead. Because of the UE, because of the Initiative, and because the transports wanted so badly out of this war.]

[Including himself. He had spent so much time thinking of only himself and how to get out of this mess, he didn't care about any of the consequences when that announcement had been made - like so many. And because of that, an entire world was gone.]

[A powerful kick causes the punching back to fall off it's chain, falling to the ground with a loud crash. Zelos seems less than surprised by it. Instead he puts one hand on his hip while using the other to wipe his brow]

Damn. I've gotten slower.

[Guess that's what he gets for training so little the past six months, huh?]

[explains]

[Guy had come here for his own training, but the man relentlessly assaulting the punching bag caught his eye right off. He could appreciate the skill involved, but more worrying was the emotion, the anger being worked off with that single-minded assault.]

[Not that he could blame anyone for being angry, right now. And this wasn't a bad way to deal with it. So he folds his arms and watches from a respectful distance until the punching bag hits the ground and the man takes a break.]

Not bad.

[Zelos had been so lost in his own thoughts, he wasn't even aware that someone was there until Guy spoke up. He'll glance over at the source of the voice, taking a second pause to see if he knows him- but nope. It definitely wasn't someone he knew.]

How long were you watching?

[explains]

A little while.

[He could leave it at that. Give the guy some privacy. It's not actually his business. On the other hand, the man just took down a punching bag in frustration, that's not the kind of anger you just leave alone.]

Think you could give me a bit of work out? I could use a partner.

[wilder]

[A little while? Hm...]

[At the offer to fight, he considers. It's been awhile since he had a spar, and he does have a lot of pent up emotions to work out. So he shrugs!]

Think I could give it a shot. What's your preference?

[explains]

Swords, myself, but I'm open to something new if you have a suggestion.

[wilder]

[A heh as he puts a hand on the hilt of his sword]

Swords are fine with me.

[explains]

Sounds like a deal. The name's Guy.

[Stepping from the wall to offer his hand in friendly greeting. After all, if they were going to spar, it was only polite.]

[wilder]

[And he'll step closer and shake the guy's hand. Since yes, polite and all that.]

Kaneis.

[And once that handshake is over with, he'll move to the middle of the area away from the equipment, drawing his own sword. ]

[explains]

Nice to meet you.

[But that's the pleasantries over with. And Guy steps to the middle of the open area, giving the other man enough room, and draws his own sword. He keeps the hilt in his off-hand, relaxing into fighting stance easily.]

Ready?

[wilder]

Same to you!

[He meanwhile moves into his own fighting stance, smirking a bit as he beckons him with his hand]

Ready when you are.

[explains]

[Guy smiles a little, interested, but doesn't say anything else. He moves in, quick and feinting--from what he saw of the redhead's assault on the punching bag he doesn't have to hold back too much, but he's still restrained. He has no intention of going all out in the first few strikes, that risks potentially injuring his partner here. So it's more a testing attack, feeling the other out.]

[Tori's been going to the training hall more often recently, but after what happened to Elmer's world, her trips here would now be for a different reason.

Starting today. She feels like she owes it to the lives lost to become stronger. Not just because she never wants to see something like that happen again, but because like Kaneis, she knows many of the transports are also to blame for what happened. She's one of them.

She's passing by the punching bag station Kaneis is training at when the punching bag hits the floor with a crash. She yelps loudly at the sound, for a moment being taken back to the awful things she had witnessed only a few days ago. Once she snaps out of it, she notices Kaneis and tries to act like she was just taken by surprise, waving at him sheepishly.]

[wilder]

[He'll glance back when he hears that yelp. Oh, it's Tori again? He gives a small lazy wave back]

Sorry, I'll fix it.

[wilder]

[It's been awhile since Zelos has been in a sword fight. A couple battles here and there, but he's been finding himself relying on his magic more against guns and tech. But he's still a trained enough swordsmen that he's able to move with those testing attacks easily, matching up swords or dodging out the way. He's definitely staying more on the defensive more for now though]

It's bound to happen when you're training like that, right? [She laughs a little, strained. Not the kind that's actually cheerful.] But yeah, probably a good idea to fix it.

[explains]

[Guy stops holding back a bit after Kaneis proves he can dodge the basic combos. Still feeling the other out, but striking more aggressively. No artes, just swordsmanship for now.]

[wilder]

Heh, yeah.

[he'll start to walk over to pick up and fix it. He's still cautious enough to make sure it looks like a struggle to do]

[Well, he's convincing enough for her to buy it. That's always good, right?]

Need any help, there?

[wilder]

[He'll match up, this guy seems pretty good! He definitely has to put more effort into his own parries and dodges. After a bit he'll start to throw in his own attempts to attack. Most of them tend to follow up right after a turn or a dodge, avoiding and hitting fast was his style]

Heh- not bad!

[explains]

Nod bad yourself.

[PRESS SQUARE TO GUARD--that is, blocking and dodging when Kaneis strikes back.]

You're holding back, though.

[wilder]

Heh heh...no! I got it!

[More struggling! Gotta pretend to have pride!]

[wilder]

[BUT I DON'T HAVE SQUARE ON MY GC CONTROLLER-- ]

Ha! Aren't you?

[explains]

[Maybe they'll remake you in HD for a new system. MAYBE IT COULD HAPPEN.]

Was it that obvious?

[wilder]

[THERE ARE RUMORS ABOUT IT!!!]

Juuust a little!

[But he goes in for another attack, moving faster than before ]

[explains]

[Then you can skill update--]

[Guy really does have to be more on his toes, catching that attack on the hilt of his sword and countering the moment he sees a chance.]
