Collette wagged her tail, making herself look more alert and considerate of their environment. Guide dog, huh? Her ears perked up, one flicking back to listen to the people passing by that direction. She carefully navigated Lavi around a gurney on his blind side, trying to impress the nurse with how clearly professional she was, after a canine fashion.
If things hadn't been so hectic, Collette doubted it'd have worked half as well. A boy and his (guide) dog who aren't running toward the exits should be followed back to their room. Instead, she asked Lavi if he knew which room was his, nodding and accepting whatever answer he gave as long as it didn't seem confused.
The excuse gave Collette something to wonder about as she sorted out the incoming stimulation to her ears, nose, and eyes.
< How'd you lose your eye? >
It was exactly the sort of personal question she'd have asked even if she wasn't halfway out of her own right head. (Which was funny; since wasn't that true anyway, when in morph? Huh...)
