Axel nodded slowly when the boy explained. He supposed he'd just gotten so used to the rather eclectic denizens of all the worlds he'd been to that the fact that the kid had horns hadn't really fazed him. Sure, they were unusual, but hardly the strangest thing he'd ever seen.
"Are they actually horns? Like attached to your skull?" he asked, his tone only curious and never mocking. He made a swirling motion beside his head. "That's kinda cool; I thought they were part of a hat or something." He shook his head then. "Even if you don't wanna go at 'em with a weapon, though, five against one is hardly a fair fight."
