Date & Time: The year 1984 (about a week after the new arrivals...arrive).
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana!
Characters: Utena & Nanami (again)
Summary: Oh boy! A fair! A World Fair, in particular, to which the girls are sent. More details are here. I am googling information on this as we speak.
Warnings: More things will come up this time. Standard warnings for these two apply: discussion of incest, abuse, exploitation of minors, trauma, etc. Animal murder? I'm so sorry.
[She'd tried to explain that this was a bad idea — they both had. Six months? Utena had asked, loud and incredulous. Six months in a country neither of them had been to, in a city neither of them knew. Six months together (in the Outside World). They'd tried, but the day had come and the date was set. She was relieved that this would not involve fighting at least, but she is at a loss on how they're meant to achieve their mission, or why they were picked at all.
Utena thinks she will never get accustomed to time travel, to the weird vacuum-space and the odd sort of weightlessness that accompanies it. The closest feeling she has ever had to it is when Akio turns on the planetarium projector, and the room with the wide white couch is filled with stars.
That feeling. Like being swallowed in space. She isn't sure if it frightens her or not.
When she comes to, there's a ticket and a map in her hand. She'd been tense. Expecting a fight, or worse, explosions and screams, like the last time, a result of the needling sort of paranoia that didn't go away, despite the explanations from Exsilium's workers. This is different. It's bright and full of people. It really is some sort of celebration.]
[She isn't sure what to look at first (there is so much to look at), so she settles for a quietly-awed:]
Wow...
[For the moment, the reality of being trapped in a world for six months with only Nanami Kiryuu for company, is forgotten.
But where to begin?]

[Her efforts to snatch the map from Utena's hands have balanced her precariously over her shoulders, which at least allows Nanami room for ducking behind her.]
It's coming this way! [Somewhere between a shriek and a stage whisper, Nanami has decided it's necessary to point out the obvious.]

[Lord...give her strength. She tries not to roll her eyes.] Geez, you're so... [Weird. Nanami was weird. The revelation seems to hit Utena all of a sudden; she glances over her shoulder, baffled.
Eventually:] Alright, alright — calm down. We'll go somewhere else.
[She takes a look at the map...] We're gonna have to walk past him to get anywhere.

She recoils slowly from Utena's shoulder, then sharper, as if finally aware of where she's been and what she's been doing.]
Whatever! Just as long as we don't stick around here.
Let's find these people's offices so we can get this over with.
