Elizabeth wasn't exactly sure what counted as living quarters to these people since having arrived and being put in a cot with so many others. Not that living with others in close quarters was something she was unfamiliar with. But it was uncomfortable all the same, and to be surrounded by men when she was sleeping had been even worse, almost as bad as having to dress herself by herself most mornings. Worse had been training herself to answer to Victoria, granting, no one had called her by name for years now. So it had come to her relief that when she had word about living somewhere else, with less people.

It was still quite early when she slid the key into the lock and crept into the house, peering about. It was still foreign, still unknown but she'd come to a kind of dull acceptance to all such things. Her hands smoothed out over her skirts, the sea had at least cleaned them a little and she'd finally shaken out the worst of the sand. Her fingers still glittered with rings, and the pearls that were her weapon of choice were hanging from her neck and she ran over them for comfort.

"Good morrow, is anyone about?"

She closed the door behind her with a soft click, hearing nothing else for a moment she walked further in, keeping her hands to herself. It felt rather like intruding in some odd way.
