It's the United Earth doing the suggesting. You can't just bark orders at them and expect them to follow along. They fight to the death, as if bewitched.

Ah, well, there's the trick.

People will fight to defend their homelands, what they already hold dear and what cannot be replaced. They will be loyal if they are convinced of their own cause, or, failing that, the ability of the commander. But I am no general.

What do you think of loyalty? You seem to me a man of some opinion.

This place was once called England, and I had never heard of that. I only mention because my country has been my teacher.
