It's not that Saul's been avoiding Artie; he's just been busy bailing out the sinking ship that is his life. And yeah, that metaphor is a little dramatic even for him, he knows, but he never thought things would get as bad as they did. And then they did. And then they got worse.

So he's been taking a lot of walks lately in an effort to clear his head, which has brought him to some new spots in town — and the first familiar thing he spots in one of the shops is that stupid hat.

At least Saul's too-pleased-to-see-his-pal-smile is equally stupid.
