Woah indeed. Peter makes a noise distinctly reminiscent of an amused snort. He's bigger as a wolf, bigger than a wolf would normally be. His teeth are also bigger than a normal wolf's would be, canines showing beneath his lips. He's still watching them with a touch of wariness; the wolf has little interest in people. But the wolf is also Peter, so he comes closer, sniffs at their shoes, their pant legs, at their hands if they're in reach. He's learning about them, all the little things that exist in scent beyond his human nose.
He's just polite enough not to sniff any higher, although the impulse is definitely there. It's harder to care about human social rules when he's a wolf.
