She isn't in civilian wear. Patrolling seems like all she can do, but this isn't even like No Man's Land. This isn't homes destroyed, families struggling for food and gang wars. It isn't anarchy: it is complete annihilation. It is stripping people of their entire lives while they retreat into the distance, and logically she supported Stephanie and her reasoning, but nothing about it feels right or a relief. She knows better than to think no one else is caught in the same foxhole, that they aren't twisting, but everything about this feels wrong.

For all she disdains the Justice League, she wishes they were here, that there were a solution. It feels like giving up, rather than tactics.

Seeing the familiar figure-- she doesn't know if it's a comfort or heartbreaking.

"Jaime." A beat. What can she say? Can she lay a hand on his shoulder, be comforting, when she thinks they're all drowning? "How are you?"
