Location: The VR Room!
Characters: Seto Kousuke (geniality) & Kano Shuuya (duplicitoussight)
Summary: Two brothers decide to mess with the VR to see where they can go.
Warnings: DUMB SIBLING BANTER.

[Once the novelty of living in space has worn off along with the shock of their move, Kano quickly sets himself to doing something. Missions... he must've suggested several already with Kido but they weren't something they could run 24/7. Aside from surfing the network, there wasn't really anywhere for Kano to go. In Exsilium there had been a city, at least, for them to explore. Up in the station it was far more cramped, limited.

Which was why it was a great idea to test the functionality of one of the VR Rooms. For now the room's sterile and clean, still yet to be adjusted. Kano enters, stretching his arms out.]

All right, all right! What shall we start with today?

[As usual, Seto is quick to follow after Kano, and he scans the room over a few times. What a strange place. There are way too many buttons and switches in here.]

Huh? I thought you already had something in mind!

[duplicitoussight]

[He shrugs.]

Well, you know what they say. Two heads are better than one. And we can do whatever we like with the VR room, right? So... [WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM] ... let's think up an extraordinary and outrageous place!

[geniality]

Outrageous? I wonder how many places we could go!

[duplicitoussight]

Anywhere and everywhere! At least, that's what they said. [He tilts his head in thought.] They said they could places from our memories. [Pause.] We could go 'home' for a bit.

[geniality]

Y'know, it'd be pretty nice to go home.... but wouldn't it be weird if we're the only ones there? [A Dan of only the two of them sounds too weird.]

[duplicitoussight]

That's true. [They should've brought everyone else on second thought. Ah well.] In that case, let's go to somewhere with some liveliness to it. Seto always liked running around in meadows like a protagonist in a shoujo manga, didn't he?

[geniality]

Liveliness works! But shoujo manga protagonists are girls, right? [The rest of the statement is accurate, honestly.]

[duplicitoussight]

Ah, that's right! In that case-- [thumps his fist on his open palm for emphasis] --Seto's the quirky yet charming childhood love interest!

[geniality]

If I'm a love interest, then what are you? Maybe you can be the childhood friend!

[duplicitoussight]

[Kano turns to the controls, fiddling with some of the buttons. The scenery around them buzzes.] You think so? I suppose I have the right amount of handsomeness to be one...

[geniality]

That's your qualification? Whatever goes, I guess! [Wow, this is really neat. He can't help but look impressed!] So we're just trying to find somewhere cool to go?

[duplicitoussight]

[Since they were talking about childhood friends and romantic interests and such, Kano messes with the controls. After switching through a city and a forest, he settles on the deck of a ship floating in the middle of a clear ocean.

It's nice to feel wind again, even if it's just simulated.]

Yup, yup, a stage befitting for us to act in! [He sweeps his arm out.] Does this fit Seto's tastes?

I'm sorry for the late response!

[geniality]

[Seto has to admit that the wind feels wonderful, but no matter how relaxing it is and how beautiful the scene is, he can't help but hesitate slightly. Shallow beaches and the like are fine, but being stranded in the middle of the ocean with no help for hundreds of miles is, in truth, still frightening to him.]

Hey, I have an idea. D'you think we should get the others and go on a group trip instead?

i should apologize for the late!!

[duplicitoussight]

A group trip? That would be nice, wouldn't it? [Fiddling with the controls again, he switches it instead to a city--their "hometown" actually, at least how Kano remembers it--and he steps back from the wall. The streets are empty. No virtual people here.] Are you saying we should herd everyone in here and send them on a nice vacation? Or are you thinking of a real trip?

I will backtag forever.

[geniality]

Going home sounds fun, but I think I'd be fine with anywhere as long as all of us go together, y'know? [Except a ship in the middle of the ocean.] I'd say I'd leave it up to you, but that might be a bad choice.

[duplicitoussight]

Hey, hey, what's that mean? My choices are great! You can't complain about them at all.

[geniality]

You think so? I can try! Maybe we need a third opinion.

[duplicitoussight]

And what's that opinion?

[geniality]

Let's ask Kido! [When in doubt, ask Kido. It always works.]

[duplicitoussight]

[Ahh. He should've expected it.] Well, well, should we drop a message off for our dear Leader, then? 'Dear Kido, we'd like to take a vacation from the moon...'

[geniality]

You think she'll say yes? Everyone needs a vacation sometimes, right?

[He sees nothing wrong with that invitation.]

[duplicitoussight]

[Pause.] Even if Kido protests, let's drag her off anyway. She deserves it, don't you think?

[The past few months have been tough for all of them. Knowing Kido, though, she'd probably protest at taking a break.]
