STAR-LORD ☆ PETER QUILL ([personal profile] getoffmyearth) wrote in [community profile] exsiliumlogs2013-10-30 02:04 am

Now I'm feeling so fly like a G6

Date & Time: backdated to Oct 26
Location: NASA compound at Cape Canaveral, at some point in time
Characters: Peter Quill, Stephanie Brown, & Max Kearney
Summary: stealing spacesuits (like a boss)
Warnings: Attempted witty banter, thievery, sarcasm, possible references to violence, felonies, and treason

When he left Earth, Peter never expected to come back. Never really wanted to come back, and hadn't really considered it since. It'd come as a shock to suddenly find himself there, even an Earth centuries beyond his time. It was just plain weird to consider going back to NASA now, surreal, like it couldn't actually be his life. That chapter was over and done with, and really, he didn't think anybody in his real life knew about what he'd had to go through to get out to space. Anything before his tenure as the fully-powered Star-Lord didn't matter, including the fact that he technically kind of stole it from some other guy they'd picked who was supposedly more deserving. Committing assault and treason along the way.

Good life choices had always been Peter's forte.

Still, some utterly immature part of him was excited to go back just to flip those guys the bird, after all the time he'd wasted in their ranks trying to get out to space, trying to make someone understand why he had to be there and fighting their bureaucracy and lack of perspective. Fuck those guys, and their total lack of understanding. Will he absolutely go help a crazy young superhero lift spacesuits from their super high-security-but-a-joke-compared-to-anyone-else compound? Yes. Absolutely. With utter glee.

"Everybody ready to get this show on the road?"
