You get used to it. I actually got pretty sick the first few days I came here, because people kept wanting to feed me things I never had before and I wasn't prepared. [Armin waves a hand as if to say 'no big deal'.]

It's painful, after awhile, when you have to till fields or something like that in the cold with only a bit of bread or gruel in their stomachs. [Honestly, it would likely have been just as dirty, or dirtier.] A lot of people got sick, but we'd try to eat the green bits of weeds and so me and my friends never did.
